Getting to the core of social innovation

An article in the EU Research magazine (one of the world leading open access publication for scientific research and dissemination summarises the main results of the SI-DRIVE project (Social Innovation: Driving Force of Social Change by underlining the comprehensive concept of Social Innovation and referring to the main drivers and barriers.The authors – Jürgen Howaldt, Christoph Kaletka und Antonius Schröder – stress the necessary framework conditions and the establishment of social innovation eco-systems. A new innovation policy is needed recognizing the high potential of social innovation to solve the recent and future societal challenges.
